Cookies Policy

Last updated

This policy explains what CININTIRIKS™ stores on your device, and what it does not. It covers cookies and the technologies that do the same job — local storage, session storage, pixel tags and the cache a browser keeps for a site — and it sits alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

At a glance

  • 01
We set no cookies. Not one, anywhere on this site — not for advertising, not for analytics, not even for the sign-in.
  • 02
Two things live in your browser. Your sign-in, kept by the Amazon Cognito library in local storage, and copies of this site’s own files so pages open quickly. Section 2 lists both exactly.
  • 03
Two outside services see a request. Google Fonts serves the typeface and jsDelivr serves the sign-in library. Each receives your IP address; neither sets a cookie. Section 3.
  • 04
Nothing here follows you. No analytics, no advertising network, no tracking pixel, no profile, and nothing sold or shared. Section 4.
  • 05
You are in control. Clearing this site’s data removes everything in section 2, and signs you out. Section 5 explains how, browser by browser.

This summary is provided for convenience only. It forms no part of this policy and does not change it; the sections below are the operative text.

What cookies are

Section 01

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep and to send back on every later request, which is what lets a site recognize a returning visitor. Related technologies do similar work without being cookies: local storage and session storage hold values that stay in the browser and are not sent automatically with requests, and a service worker can keep copies of a site’s files so pages load without waiting for the network.

The distinction matters here, because CININTIRIKS uses no cookies at all — the things it does keep are listed below.

What CININTIRIKS stores

Section 02
What CININTIRIKS keeps in your browser, and for how long
WhatWhat it is, and how long it stays
Your sign-in When you sign in, the Amazon Cognito sign-in library keeps five values in your browser’s local storage, under names beginning CognitoIdentityServiceProvider. — the three tokens that prove you are signed in, a small clock-difference figure, and the address you signed in with, so the app knows which account to resume. They are not cookies, they are never sent to anyone but us, and signing out deletes them.
This site’s own files A service worker keeps copies of this site’s pages, stylesheet, scripts and icons in the browser’s cache, so the site opens quickly and still works when a connection drops. It holds no personal information and none of your records, never touches requests to our API, and is replaced whenever we publish a new version.
Anything else Nothing. The site writes no preferences, no identifiers and no analytics state of any kind. Our own code only ever reads whether a sign-in exists, so the menu can say “Dashboard” instead of “Sign in”.

Outside services

Section 03

Loading a page asks two other companies’ servers for a file. As with any such request, each receives your IP address, your browser’s details and which file was asked for. Neither sets a cookie on this site.

Everything else the site needs — its pages, stylesheet, scripts, icons and your own documents — comes from us.

What we do not use

Section 04

Managing what is stored

Section 05

Everything in section 2 is removed when you clear this site’s data in your browser, which also signs you out. Blocking storage for this site entirely will prevent you staying signed in, because your sign-in is the thing stored.

Signing out from inside the application does the same thing for your sign-in, without touching the rest.

Do Not Track

Section 06

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal. There is nothing here for such a signal to switch off: this site performs no tracking, runs no analytics and serves no advertising, whatever your browser sends. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated before it does.

Changes to this policy

Section 07

If we ever add anything that stores data on your device, we will describe it here before it goes live, and the “Last updated” date above will change. A change that materially affects you is also announced by email, as the Privacy Policy sets out.
